Copic Marker Storage

I'm getting ready to post some new patterns of copic cases on Etsy.  They should be up tomorrow.  Here's a sneak preview of what I have.

A Cut Above Continues

As I said in my last post, I've been taking online classes in the Online Card Classes A Cut Above Classroom.  The classes continue to provide such great value for me.  Here are some projects I made to practice the techniques we've been using.

Day 2 - Window Cards

This is a card using all Stampin' Up Products.  I just love the Apothecary Art stamp set with the coordinating framelits.  I made this window card and my shaped card with it.

Learning New Embossing Techniques

For the last several days I've been taking online classes in the Online Card Classes A Cut Above Classroom.  Working with training and development everyday in a corporate setting, I must say that these ladies have the magic.  The classes are interesting and always useful.  Even with techniques I use all the time, I'm finding myself learning new tips and tricks.  They've been very thorough and I love the format.  It works well with my short attention span.  Here's a card I made tonight with the faux letterpress technique. 

One other thing I learned from this is to use the sookwang double sided tape on the back of my paper when cutting the intricate dies.  It makes them stick really well and takes a lot less time and mess then my beloved quickie glue pen.

It's Something Borrowed for Monkey Challenge #5

I'm so honored to have been chosen as a guest designer for this week's A La Card Monkey challenge.  This week is about using something borrowed so I borrowed this idea from my Mom.  We both bought this Card, Square Flip-its from Sizzix and spend many hours trying to figure out just how to make it work.  It's a great concept, but you have to use tape over the scored area as a shim.  Otherwise it cuts the card in half.

I also used a stamp set from Clear Art Stamps and some American Crafts Paper.  Of course, I did pull out the Copics to color the little boy.  I just think he's so cute!

A Little Inky Antics for A La Card Monkey

I'm so excited to be a guest designer for next week's A La Card Monkey contest.  I loved this week's sketch.


Here's my take on the design.  It's a card for my niece who just turned 9.  Instead of putting the cupcake on the outside I decided to make it a surprise.
